Smiths Funeral Home - Aussie Pairs

On Sunday, August 24, 2025,  20 bowling pairs vied for the championship at the Smith's Funeral Home Open Aussie Pairs.  In first place was Patrick Cote and Dekker Ly, straight from his medal performances at the U-18 Canadian Championships. In second place, also with 3 wins, was Steve Nelson and Mike Wagner with Rusty Ruggles and Kathy Smith in third place with 2 win.  Fourth place was Mike Spadafora and Larry Wright  and in fifth place was another Burlington team, Jim Steckle and Chris Brandl.  Frank and Maureen Francella had the High Game Aggregate points. There were some truly stupendous shots in a lot of games.  Also a big congratulations to first year bowlers, Darrell and Diane Jamieson, and Liam O'Neill, who bowled well and consistently. Thanks to the sponsor Smith's Funeral Home, the kitchen staff for some truly wonderful snacks and desserts, the greens keeping staff, Sophie and Dave who did the draw and to the Maytag repairperson (aka BarKeep who was very lonely).
