Flexibility

Bending to pick up bowls
-
Knee flexion during delivery
-
Coordinated movement for smooth release
-
Bending to place the mat

-
Managing footwork during delivery

Using partial‑lunge techniques for stability
-
Navigating around bowls on the green
-
Repeated sitting and standing throughout play
-
Coordinating actions such as gathering bowls at the end of an end

An active body supports an active mind. Lawn bowling promotes mental engagement through:
-
Social interaction and conversation
-
Focus during each delivery
-
Precision and tactical thinking
-
Strategic problem‑solving based on bowl positions

-
Bowls in many sizes, from very small for youth to narrow‑profile bowls for improved grip

Delivery aids for those with limited flexibility (similar to adaptive equipment in curling)

Modifications for bowlers with special needs, including those who are visually impaired
Members can choose formats that suit their endurance and schedule, from single‑game daytime play to evening jitneys.
