Wed., Sept. 10 - Milton Mixed Triples - Only one Burlington team played, Jim M, Theresa K & Dorothy M. They won two games but didn't make the money.  However, Jim won the "Share the Wealth" prize. 1st place was a local team (Roger, Gunther & Karen) while second place went to Jim & Sue Roth. 

Tues., Sept. 9 - Ancaster Open Pairs - Four and a half Burlington teams (Elizabeth B & Theresa K, Marion B & Penny H, Peter A & Chuck A, Jim S & Anita S, and Rich Peart & Phil T) attended the full tournament, but only two teams made money - Peter & Chuck came in fourth while Rich & Phil were fifth. First place was taken by Jim  Sue Roth from Woodstock. Second place was held by Rebecca Coon & Phil Burak (Glenridge/Beamsville) and third place was an Ancaster team of Phil Farley & Paul Slater. 

Sat., Sept. 6 - Etobicoke Open Triples - Marion B, Sophie B & Penny H came in third. Rusty Ruggles, Cathy Wheat &Trevor Cleland placed first. 

Tues., Aug. 19 - Beamsville Open Pairs - Colin T & Grant L (Burlington/Beamsville) had 2 wins and placed 3rd with 2 wins.  Interestingly enough, Pat B & Chuck A beat them by one and Theresa K & Cathy Wheat (Roselawn) lost to them by one.  Close games and fun times. 

Sat., Aug. 16 - Ancaster Triples - Pat B, Teresa B (Beamsville) & Craig B won last game high playing 3 10-end games in the heat. 

Wed., Aug. 13 - Pat B, Theresa K & Audry D came in 2nd at the Port Credit Women's Triples. The other Burlington team of Marion B, Penny H & Heather M (brand new bowler) missed the money.

Tues., Aug. 12 - Audry D & Marion B travelled  to Preston Lawn Bowling Club to play under the lights in Women's Pairs and came in 3rd.  Well done.

Tues., Aug. 12 - Theresa K & Toni L had 2 wins and 1 loss at the Port Dalhousie Women's Triples tournament but missed out on the money due to differential.  Pat B and her partner, Teresa Bucknall (Beamsville)  also missed the money. 

Mon., Aug. 11 - Chuck A, Chris B & John Sm (all novices) won all three games to come in second but had lower points at the Hagersville Open Triples with a Novice Tournament than the eventual winner of Derek McKie's team. Elizabeth B played on a Hamilton mixed team and came in 3rd with 2 wins. Theresa K, Joan W & Toni L also had 2 wins but didn't place in the money. Toni L did win the "share the wealth" draw and was able to buy sundaes and banana splits at Hewitt's Dairy.

Thurs., Aug. 7 - Dundas Bowling Belles Women's Triples tournaments saw many Burlington bowlers in the prize money.  Kathy Smith of Dundas was first but Josephine M, Mary W and Moira M came in third while Carol R's team of Dundas and Roselawn players came in 2nd.  Pat B, Kathleen E and Shannon M had high game. 

Fri., Aug. 1 to Sun., Aug. 3 - Five Burlington women on 2 teams went to Belleville for the Ladies 3 Day.  Sophie B & Kathy Smith (Dundas) placed fifth in pairs in the late draw. Elizabeth B & Theresa K, and Marion B & Penny H were also 2-game winners but placed out of money based on lower points. Marion B placed 3rd in Singles in the late draw.  The Fours was just not there for the Burlington bowlers but it was fun, hot and smoky (forest fires from up north) bowling. 

Sun., Aug. 3 - Debbie M, Pat B and Craig B placed first in Port Dalhousie Mixed Triples. 

Sat., Aug. 2 - Ernie Gersok was part of a Pickering team at the Oshawa Gold Cup (3-day men's tournament).  Their team finished as high 1 game winner.

Sat., Aug. 2 - Pat B and Patrick C placed second in Leaside Aussie Pairs. 

Wed., July 30 - Pat B, Lan Tran (Agincourt) & Kathleen E place first in Oakville Triples. Pat is on a roll.

Sat., July 26 - Theresa K, Mary P &Toni L placed second at the Michael Briks sponsored tournament, Friends of St. George. Michael placed third playing with Josephine M & Wayne L.  3 games with 2 bowls went by quickly, even in the heat and humidity and playing 14 ends in the first game and then 12 ends in the 2nd and 3rd. We did have to deal with backed-up toilets but fortunately, a neighbour opened their house to us.  

Tues., July 22 - Burlington women excelled at the Lively Ladies triples tournament in Hamilton at the historic Roselawn bowling club. In first place, Marg LePere (Niagara Falls), Debbie M and Pat B with 3 wins.  In second place, Elizabeth B, Josephine M, & Toni L with 2 wins and lots of points. Third place was another merged team with Carol R, Maureen F (Hagersville) & Cathy W (Roselawn).  In the non-competitive/social side, Theresa K, Julie B & Joan D placed third.  Good food and lots of fun in hot and humid Hamilton. 

Sun., July 20 - Marion B & Theresa K placed second playing with Cary Lucier (import from Windsor) against Vince, Chrystal and Pat at their home club in Brampton. 

Sat., July 19 - Penny H, Theresa K, &Marion B placed fourth in points with 2 wins, but out of the money at Beamsville Triples. 

Sat., July 19 - Pat B & Debbie M placed Fifth in Pairs at Ladies in Waiting (LIW) in Hanover.   On the Sunday of the three-day event, Pat B placed third in the Singles and tied for Bowler of the Tournament with one of her teammates from Beamsville, Teresa Bucknall.   Well done.  

Fri., July 16 - Pat B and Korey Kleinwachter (Simcoe) came in First in Open Pairs in Norwich. 

Sat., July 12 - Oakville Open Triples - Chuck A and his two Oakville teammates came in 4th at the Newton & Olive Howard Memorial tournament.  Ernie G with his Burlington team of Craig B & Theresa K came in 5th.  Fun and short time (only played 2-12 end games) in the heat. 

Mon., July 7 - 2 Burlington teams and an additional 2 Burlington bowlers on 2 other teams, went to Hagersville for Triples. Jim M, Joan W &Theresa K finished 3rd with 2 wins.  Kathy Smith with Marion B and another Ancaster bowler came in 4th with 2 wins.  Carol R bowled with Maureen & Frank Francella. It was hot and humid with very fast greens at Hagersville.  Chuck A with Chris B & Julie B won 1 game and lost 2.  They played very well with some spectacular shots seen. 

Sat., July 5 - Congratulations go out to Liam O, Penny H &Marion B for 2nd place in Ancaster - triples with a novice. 

Thurs., July 3 - Pat B & Craig B finished second in Roselawn's La Spaghett Open Pairs Tourney, a feat they replicated from the year before. 

Sun., June 29 -  Dekker Ly won SILVER in Cobourg at the U18 Provincial Championship.  He heads to Edmonton in August for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.  Congratulations and good luck to Dekker. 

Sat., June 28 - Penny H & Craig B secured last game high at the Vlachos Memorial in Glenridge. Pat B &Patrick C finished fourth.  All four bowlers also played in the OBA Singles at our club the day before (Patrick played six games to secure 3rd Division).

Sat., June 21 - Burlington novices were victorious at the St. George Triples with two novices tournament.  In first place, Theresa K with husband and wife team, Chris B & Julie B.  In second place, Dave D & his son Steven along with John Si.  In third place was Colin Tr with his two daughters, Kathleen & Shannon. A family event for sure.  

Wed. June 18 - Pat B and Debbie M teamed up with Teresa B of Beamsville to place third at the Milton Lawn Bowling Club.

Sun., June 15 - Sophie Burrows along with teammates Kathy Smith of Ancaster & Heather Comba of Milton, won a big BRONZE medal in the PROVINCIAL WOMEN'S OPEN TRIPLES. The three of them will join forces with Lynn Searby of Grimsby for the Provincial Women's Four's  in Hanover the weekend of  June 21 and 22.  Good Luck to them all. 

Sat., June  14 -  Dave D, Steve D & John Si (all novices) were victorious at the Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club with 2 wins and a fantastic finish, although sadly finished fourth due to points.

Sun., June 8 -  Marion B, John Sm & Penny H came in 2nd place in Beamsville as a 3-game winner.

Wed., May 28 - Marion B,  Don R & Penny H scored 1st place in Georgetown Mixed Triples.
