Congratulations to Marie & Mark who will be competing at the Provincials in Belleville on September 19-20. Wish them luck.

The Provincial Novice Men's and Women's Aussie Pairs Championships took place in Bobcaygeon and Cobourg this weekend, August 15-16, 2026.  Cheer on Jim Steckle & Liam O'Neill and Toni Langshaw & Anita Steckle. Jim  & Liam  won gold.  They came back from a deficit and beat the Port Credit team of Steven Bender & Paul Sutton.  What is nice about this win - last year, Jim and Liam were 2nd year bowlers and won District 5.  Shortly before they were to play in the 2025 Provincials, Jim had to find a new partner as Liam was unable to play.  Jim and his new partner, Maurice Cartier lost in the bronze medal game.  So, well done to Jim and Liam.  Toni & Anita played 3 games on Saturday and although they did not advance to Sunday, all games were competitive with 2 games coming down to last bowls in the final end. Well done.
