Friday Open Singles League

Open Singles League

The league wants to attract members of all abilities both experienced, novice and new, who want to play and have fun. This is a great way to improve your bowling game.

Format is singles playing 4 bowls each.

Once registration is complete, league members will be divided into 4 groups of 8. There will be 2 sessions of 9 match days each, players will play 2 X 7 end games with a tie breaker of 3 ends if required. The final 2 games days of each session will be playoff match days.

At the end of the first session there will be an opportunity for players to drop out and new players to be added for the second session.

Please note there will be NO SPARES. If a player cannot make the game day, everyone is responsible for reaching out to their opponent and arrange a make up game time within two weeks. There is plenty of open bowling time to allow for this. All matches must be finished by the end of the 7th week to allow for the playoffs to be arranged.

Points are awarded: 3 points for a win, 2 points for a tie break win, and 1 point for a loss, plus 0.5 point per end won by each player, and 0.5 point for each bowl scored by each player. If a suitable time cannot be arranged both players will be awarded 1 point each.

The format will be a round robin so everyone plays everyone, followed by a playoffs round.

Theresa Kennedy is the Drawmaster for this league and is very much looking forward to seeing you register.
